
Scholarship Program & Qualifications
PURPOSE: to
offer financial aid to students and to promote the study of horticulture,
floriculture, landscape design, botany, plant pathology, forestry, agronomy,
environmental concerns, land management and/or allied subjects.
APPLICATION:
must be typed on an official form. All documentation must be submitted as requested.
Scholarships applied for this year are awarded as follows:
Fall Semester $500…Spring Semester $500.
COMMITTEE
& JUDGES: Hondo Garden Club Scholarship Committee members (Award
approved by Executive Committee).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be a high school graduating senior or college
freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior. Scholastic
record of not less than a “B” average, 3.0, majoring in one of the fields of
study named above.
DOCUMENTATION:
Please read the application carefully and be sure all
requirements are met. Failure to
include all information will disqualify the applicant.
Reference letters may be in sealed envelopes addressed to the Scholarship
Committee Chairman.

APPLICATION
AND RE-APPLICATION: Application blanks may be requested from the High School
Counselor, Hondo Garden Club Scholarship Chairman or online by clicking on the

Any student may reapply providing financial need still exists
and other qualifications still apply; however, re-applications should have all
new and up-to-date letters and other documentation.

or before May 1 by mail or email
