The
convention was held at the First United Methodist Church
Thank you for
allowing us to use your beautiful church!
Registration was held at the Rustic
Courtyard but since the weather didn't cooperate,
the program on propagating plants was presented next door at the Hondo Community Center.

After Hardy Lewis, District Director, held
the board meeting, everyone gathered in the Community Center
for the program on Container Gardening presented by Kathy Blount of
the Rustic Courtyard.

Kathy's presentation was very informative
and she gave some great tips for planting container gardens. A number of
audience members shared some of their ideas for keeping hanging baskets from
drying out so quickly and other ideas for containers.
Ronnie Mason, one of the best country music artists around, entertained all during hors d'oeurves and the social.
The evening meal, catered by Evelyn Herrmann
owner of the Flightline Cafe was enjoyed by everyone present.
While enjoying the great meal, everyone got to visit and catch up on district
news.
